Bruins beat the Pens.

The score was 5-4 in a close game between the teams, the second game in a row in which Phil Kessel came up strong for the B's, scoring the game winning goal. Even with Evgeni Malkin scoring two for Pittsburgh, the Bruins were able to get the W through another shootout win. At the end of the 1st, the Penguins were up 2-0 with goals from Malone and Malkin. The Bruins then scored 3 in the 2nd period, along with two goals from the Pens. Note; Hannu Toivonen in goal. Savard then in the 3rd, made his All-Star presence known by notching the game at 4 and putting the game into overtime. OT only had one close chance for the Bruins, but was saved by Fleury. In the shootout, Sidney Crosby had his shot saved (now career 2-for-11 in shootout), while Bruins Rookie Phil Kessel scored against the Pens (now 2-for-2 in shootout).

Up next is a divisional home and home contest between the Bruins and the Senators with the first game on Saturday night in the Garden.
