Just an update on JD Drew. After 52 days, the RF replacement for dirt dog Trot Nixon has now been finalised. The deal remains as initially set out. 5 years for $70m, just this time the Sox have an opt-out clause after 3 years if major shoulder problems occur following Drew's surgery issues from Sept '05. Also if an injury occurs in the 4th year, they have the right to cancel the 5th year of the contract. Great news for whats looking like a great 3-4-5 punch. On other news, rumours of Todd Helton coming to the Sox from the Rockies have been circulating. The Rockies want young pitching, possibly in the form of Manny Delcarmen amongst others. Discussions are said to be resuming on Monday.
