London is finally getting what it was promised, an NFL game!

Three days ago, new NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has chosen London to be the first city and Europe to hold a regular season NFL game. This comes after 2005's Mexico game and the upcoming China game. Here's a direct quote from Goodell that I liked: "There's great history of NFL football in London, and British fans have been great fans of football over the years,". Finally some recognition from the top. They already took our Monarchs and Claymores away. NFLUK execs reckon that this game will trigger much interest in the sport and possibly the revival of an NFL Europe team in the UK. GREAT NEWS!

Although the matchup hasn't been finalized, the likely teams are Miami Dolphins against New York Giants, a game in which the Dolphins would forfeit their home advantage. The game is going to take place at Wembley, however, if it isn't finished (more than likely), it will be played at Twickenham in either September or October. After holding greatly popular American Bowl games in the 80's and 90's, world class football is returning. Can't wait to get tickets. Definately not something you can miss. Even if the Pats don't go. Only the east coast teams are really being considered because of travelling times and time change problems for teams having to come an additional 3000miles from the west coast.
