Respect to a real Sox fan.

Just wanted to give a quick mention to an honorable Sox fan. Massachusetts native, Kathryn Gemme died on Friday at the age of 112 in Middleborough. She was an avid life-long supporter of the team and went to her first game at age 18 in 1912, Fenway's opening year. As a fan she witnessed all of the Red Sox World Series' and events such as the Ruth trade, the Impossible Dream and the breaking of the Curse. When she attended her last game in 2004, she was met by Jason Varitek and Johnny Pesky. On her 111th birthday, the team brought the World Series trophy to her in November 2005, a day which was 'a big day of her life'. When the Sox were only on the radio, she would take notes down about the game so that she could tell her husband the score when he came back from work. This is passion. This is what the Red Sox is about.
