Keith Foulke signed with the Indians for $5m for one year from free agency. The deal inclueds a $2m performance bonus and an option for the '08 season. Last year Foulke lost his closer role to Jonathan Papelbon, and suffered a two month injury with his elbow. However, with the 4.35ERA with a 3-1 record he posted, Cleveland believe they can turn him into a closer once more. This will be to be seen, but the Indians had a record-low 24 saves in 2006 so they hope Foulke will make that number a little healthier. The most memorable moment in Foulke's Red Sox career will be the winning toss to 1B to claim the World Series after 86 years. The iconic photo of Keith and V-Tek covered all of the newspapers the day after. Thanks, Keith. Another 2004 Idiot leaves...
