The Patriots are playing to their now expected high postseason standard by blowing away the New York Jets 37-16. Brady had this one covered. Since his confused game with the Jets last time around where the Pats ended up losing 17-14, Brady had his head in the game and was in total control. The Patriots easily have the most postseason experience in this century with 3 superbowls in 5 years and making the playoffs consecutively for the past four years.
Tom Brady finished the game going 22-for-34 passes with 212yards and two touchdowns. New in-season acquisition Jabar Gaffney surprised the Jets and caught 8 passes for 104 yards. An interesting fumble recovery took place late in the game where Colvin intercepted a pass but dropped the ball. All players on the field thought the ball was incomplete except Wilfork who ran it another 30 yards before getting taken down. In additional news, it looks like we don't need Vinatieri to do well in a postseason game with Gostkowski making all the necessary kicks.
The Pats now face the number one ranked team on Sunday; The San Diego Chargers as they go for their fourth superbowl in 6 six years. Which would definately secure them the 'dynasty' title with Brady at the helm. Go Pats!
Highlights are on ITV1 tonight at 12 or on ITV4 at 7pm. Also for some other good football coverage: The Bowl Championship Series is on NASN tonight which features Ohio State and Florida starts at 12.30.
