Fenway renovations.

For the 6th year in a row, the Red Sox are renovating Fenway Park. The idea is to have a completely renovated stadium by its 100th birthday in 2012. This year's renovations are not as visible as the past work such as the Green Monstah and the Pavilion seats. This year there is going to be a 3rd base grandstand deck with a womens bathroom (first time on the 3B side) and stairs directly onto Yawkey as well as some extra standing room. Also they are putting some indoor batting cages underneath the LF Grandstand that will have windows for watching from the Game On! bar. Pretty awesome idea, have a beer and watch some BP in Game On! Also some minor work will be done on electrics and plumbing and the like. They are also renovating many of the private boxes, but us commoners don't really care about that. No atmosphere up there anyways. All of these changes should be finished by Opening Day.

A change that is hopefully going to be ready by the All-Star break is what is being called 'The Bleacher Bar & Grill'. This will be in the 4000sq. ft. of space that occupied the old BP space in CF in the garage. The new restaurant is to be open 12 months a year, and give the opportunity for fans to enjoy the stadium even when there isn't a game on. Sounds like some good stuff. Go Sox.
